Other than Catalina Islands and Murcielago Islands ( Bat Islands ) there are also other local dive sites which are great for scuba diving. Two of the best local dive sites include Pelonas ( Pelonas Islands ) located in front of the coast of El Coco, and Cabeza de Loro, another local dive site, famous for its deep water and rocky pinnacles. Other local sites include Brummel islands and may more. Depending on climate conditions and other factors, we will suggest which site to visit.
Close to Playas del Coco there are several dive sites where you can enjoy excellent sightings just a few minutes away. This option allows the interested party to make more of an activity during the day and enjoy to the maximum their stay in Playas del Coco. You leave the beach at 08:00 am, dives are done at two different points and you return approximately at 11:30 to the place of departure. Fruits and soft drinks are included between dives. Species of wildlife encountered during our dive trips include many species of coral fish, eels, rays ( Eagle Rays and other species ), Occasional corals, many rocky pinnacles, caves and formations, white tip reef sharks, nurse sharks, occasional Bull Sharks ( more frequent in Murcielago Islands ), sea turtles, occasional whale sharks and dolphins, and occasional whales ( Humpback, Pilot and False Orca the most frequent species )
