Murcielago Islands ( Bat Islands ) are a group of cold water stream influenced islands located within the Santa Rosa National park, part of the larger Guanacaste Conservation Area ( All protected ). The abundance of fish, sea wildlife and rich populations of otherwise endangered species make it the best site for scuba diving. Large and healthy populations of Bull Sharks.
Catalina Islands is the most popular day trip. At a short boat ride ( even shorter with our boat ), the Catalinas can offer pretty incredible visibility, and interesting species, including Eagle Rays, White Tip Reef Sharks, Moray Eels, corals, caverns and rocky pinnacles, and quite abundant schools of coral fish, including Angel Fish, various Puffers and more.
Local dive sites are abundant in the region. The Gulf of Papagayo forms some sort of tropical Fjord, with extremely calm waters, and none to few river mouths, which is why the visibility can be pretty incredible. Our local guides will know in advance. One of the local dive sites is called Monkey Head ( Cabeza e Mono ), and it is among many other local dive sites that we visit all year round. Especially great for beginners and also for advanced ( They can surprise )

With our catamaran sailboat, the Pura Vida, which comes with 4 comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, large A/C saloon, bar, kitchen spacious deck and dive platform, we can offer 1 night and 2 days and 3 days and 2 night trips to the Murcielago Islands with all the meals and several dives included.

Pura Vida is a luxury catamaran sailboat we use for our longer trips, or in case there is a larger scuba group. One of our crown jewels is the overnight Murcielago Scuba Diving Tour, during which you will live onboard with meals included. It comes with dive platform, 4 bedrooms and more.
Expertise is also another of our main goals. Not only are our guides and vie staff well trained, but they will also know in advance which local dive site is best at the time you are diving. Local dive sites can be equal in visibility depending on weather and climatic conditions throughout the year.
